About ART for Cancer

Cancer was the impetus for my journey into the art world.
Initially, painting (self taught and learning every day), as a means of escaping the cruel reality, that a loved one had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.  It then became a passion and a mission. 

Many, many sleepless nights, contributed to many paintings (some okay and some not so good). Within the first 6 months, I held my first private showing, and through the support and generosity of my friends, sold over 80% of my paintings. All proceeds were donated to St Joseph’s Health Foundation, to help fight cancer.  I had found my new mission.

When you see a loved one suffering with cancer, you are overcome with a great sense of helplessness. For me, creating art with a focus on helping to fight cancer, makes me feel a little bit less helpless. 

100% of all net profit  is donated to cancer charity, in memory of my mom, who passed away on June 13, 2009, after a most valient battle with cancer.
